Fasting Friday 2022

What is fasting Friday?

An annual event organised by the Bradford foundation Trust and Bradford 4 Better that takes place in the Islamic month of Ramadan.

This year is different

This year Fasting Friday falls on Good Friday and we will be joined by Christian communities across Bradford to fast together for one day.

We are also working with the City of Culture 2025 team to promote the theme of connecting cultures through faith, art, community and cuisine by showcasing the rich heritage and diversity of Bradford.

How can you get involved?

Anyone can join the event and we invite you to take part in fasting for one day on Fasting Friday (15th April) in unity with communities across Bradford.

You can donate towards charities to support the most needy communities in Bradford.

Attend the FREE arts event [exhibition, Ramadan arts & crafts & calligraphy workshops] at the Bradford Foundation Trust building [204 Westgate BD1 3AD]on Friday 15th April from 3pm with artists Razwan Ul-Haq and Zareena Bano.

Followed by the Big Open Iftar at City Park, from 7pm: an open air community gathering to break the fast with amazing food provided MyLahore. [ book here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/open-iftar-2022-x-bradford-tickets-313223057597]
