The annual Africa4U Awards, a celebration of African and Caribbean heritage, will be held at the prestigious Banqueting Hall in City Hall on Friday, October 27, starting at 5pm.

This enchanting evening promises a blend of award recognitions and captivating talks delving into the rich tapestry of African and Caribbean history. It’s a gathering designed to strengthen the bonds within our community while providing a platform for entertainment and invaluable networking opportunities.

Tony Tokunbo Eteka Fernandez, the visionary behind Africa4U, said to the T&A, “The soul of any community lives within the heart of its people. We simply cannot wait to see you.”

Tony, a proud Nigerian who has made Bradford his home for the past five years, is no stranger to hosting spectacular Black History Month celebrations at the renowned Houses of Parliament. His commitment to honouring cultural heritage is exemplary, as seen in his recent invitation to a team of Bradfordians to speak at this esteemed event.

In recognition of his tireless efforts, Tony was rightly shortlisted for the prestigious National Diversity Awards in 2022.

Africa4U, a long-standing and esteemed partner organisation of Bradford4Better, stands as a beacon for African and Caribbean voices in our district. Their noble mission is to build bridges across all backgrounds in Bradford, fostering unity and community cohesion.

Bradford4Better is honoured to announce our continuous and enthusiastic support for this event. We will be present, exhibiting and standing in solidarity with Africa4U’s mission and we’d love to see you there also.
